Tell the EPA to Implement and Enforce the Noise Control Act (1972) and Quiet Communities Act (1978)

The EPA must meet its legal responsibilities under the Noise Control Act of 1972 and Quiet Communities Act of 1978. It has not done so for 40 years. The absence of an effective federal program to abate and control noise puts the health of millions of Americans at risk, places a disproportionate burden on low income and minority communities, adversely affects children’s learning and work productivity, and contributes to diminished biodiversity. We are asking the EPA to immediately seek funding to re-activate the federal noise control program and protect our health and our environment.
