The work of the Quiet Empowerment program is already producing results

In partnership with the University of Washington Law Clinic, we petitioned to the US Environmental Protection Agency (2017) to enforce the Noise Control Act of 1972.

​Following outreach and discussions with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, we initiated a statewide procurement program for commercial-grade battery-electric lawn and garden equipment. This has led to state agencies and other public entities stepping up to “lead by example” in low noise, zero emissions landscape maintenance practices.

​The Zoom series held for QCI/QO’s Community Action Network is inspiring cities and towns to take action to find solutions to the problem of gas leaf blowers.
