KATHLEEN ROMITO

Kathleen Romito, MD, is a retired family physician and a champion for patient empowerment. A graduate of University of California, Berkeley and University of California, San Diego School of Medicine, Dr. Romito completed her family medicine residency at Providence Medical Group, Olympia WA. She maintained a clinical practice for more than 25 years in Boise, ID and spent more than a decade focused on patient engagement, developing new technologies and approaches to improve patient education in large health care institutions.

Her interest in pickleball noise and its potential effect on the health of nearby neighbors prompted her to advocate initially in her hometown of Boise, ID and then at a national level. She serves as Chair, Health and Science Advisory Group for The Lasiewicz Foundation, advocating research on the health impacts of chronic exposure to impulse noise in the community.
